Projects: The Campaign Now

This year our principles will reflect the core principles of the Youth for Road Safety Global NGO:

Network

to connect young people and youth-led NGO's active in the road safety field around the world, so they can work together and easily share information and experiences.

Capacity Build

Not just to turn young people into road safety advocates, but also equip them with project management, communication and advocacy skills, in order to organize effective road safety campaigns in their countries and raise awareness for the vulnerable position of young people in traffic.

Advocate

to provide one voice for youth on road safety issues at a national in order to increase awareness of youth road safety in the UK as a national issue and to increase participation of youth in road safety.

2010

These are some of our aims for 2010 to increase influence with young people.

Viral in the Media

One of our primary objectives is to get out Viral Campaign advert focussing on earphone distractions into the media and into the places that will influence young people. These places include in Cinemas, on TV and on sponsored mainstream sites.

Schools Project

Tune into Traffic is currently developing a schools resource pack and workshop which is to be rolled to schools in the UK. The pack will complement existing messages of road safety and will encourage young people to think about contemporary dangers.

Music Project

Tune into Traffic is in the intial stages of scripting a music project to complement our Earphones message. This is one of our most exciting projects so far. Details will be released soon.
